Arizona Wing-Caf Aircraft Museum

Today we went to the Arizona Wing Commemorative Aircraft Museum here in Mesa.
They have many planes used in wartime and dating back to World War Two. They also have some replicas of planes, even back to WWI.
Not only do they have planes, they have medals, flight jackets, uniforms, airmen's headgear, newspapers, photos, etc.

There was one aircraft that we were able to walk through, the B-17G. Although it looks big from the outside, you realize how cramped it is on the inside. It's a good thing we lost all the weight!

It was a neat perspective though, seeing the various gunning stations and the environment they worked in.

This is one of their planes you can pay to fly in, one of only eight that flies in the US.
Their webpage (arizonawingcaf.com) contains more information than we could ever write about. Anyone with an interest in military memorabilia should check out their webpage and even better, visit the museum. The museum is completely run by volunteers, who were all very nice and knowledgeable.

After the museum, we headed to Sam's Club to stock up on (too much) stuff.

Hi Shelley & Bobby,
Love your blog! We didn't get to meet you when you visited Snookie & Bob in Arizona back in December, but I can remember how excited Snookie was to see ya'll. Isn't she a hoot and that Bob is just the salt of the earth. We sure do miss them as I'm sure you do also.
Anyway we're LaVon & Don Baker and we were the Quinn's next door neighbors at Quail Run.
I have added a song to my playlist and seeing and hearing yours, I thought you might like to hear this song. Our blog is http://bakersblessings.blogspot.com
Happy RVing!!

Thanks so much LaVon and Don! Shame we didn't get to meet while we were at Quail Run. Yes, Snookie and Bob are a trip, but good people. It was great seeing them again. We should be seeing them again late next month in Gillette, WY for the Escapees Escapade. We are looking forward to it.

When Snookie added her "Friends Blogs" to their site, I checked yours out. Great site! We like it so much, I hope you don't mind, we added things such as the Playlist player and Daily Bible Verse that we saw on yours. We have also added your blog to our favorites. Oh and congratulations on your two year wedding anniversary and sure hope Don is feeling better!?

In Christian Love,
Bobby and Shelly
